Mumps?

The Daily Mumps is not a real photo-blog. Think of it as a
kind of comic, made with un-staged, ‘found’ photos of my kids.

Also, they’re not my real kids, but tiny indigenous laborers
who pose in exchange for rice and strips of twine.

And we don’t give them real rice and twine, either. Rycee-Twyne®
(a genuine Kraft imitation foodstuff) is nearly as effective
and has a kick-ass shelf life.

One new mump is posted each weekday. Except that it’s not.

My Story

As a young man I came into possession of four small children.
They struck me as fascinating creatures, and I devoted myself to
their study, living amongst them and observing their habits.
Over time, I gained their trust. They accepted me into their communal
grooming circles; I fed them soda biscuits from my hand.

I no longer entertain thoughts of rejoining conventional society.
Instead, I remain here among these children (or personettes, as I’ve
come to call them), documenting their activities on my World Wide Web site
until the inevitable day when their leader rips my throat out with her teeth.

I thank you.
